Deborah’s diverse business career includes experience in banking (Connecticut Bank and Trust Company), law (Cummings & Lockwood), tax law and securities. Currently she and her husband own a consulting firm for non-profits specializing in governance, strategic planning and board development. Deborah has served on many boards in Vermont including chairperson at the Vermont Community Foundation, Vermont Public Radio, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont and the Vermont Institute of Natural Science. Currently she serves on the Vermont State Library Board as a gubernatorial appointee. She was elected to the Green Mountain College board of trustees in 2012. Deborah received her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law with honors. She also is a graduate of the Vermont Leadership Institute at the Snelling School of Government in Williston, Vt., and received an honorary doctor of humane letters from GMC in 2008. She is married Wayne Granquist and resides in Weston, Vt.
