Prior to his retirement as CEO of Isotron Inc. in 2010, Bob Ebling had been a dual resident of Pawlet and Boston. His career in finance began in 1973 and included positions as Treasurer of United States Surgical Corporation, President and CFO of Hale Furniture Co. of Vermont, and a Senior Vice President of The Hyde Schools, Barclays Bank PLC, and Environmental Defense Inc., and as a consultant and Managing Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Bob is now semi-retired raising beef cattle in Pawlet and working with a number of not-for-profits. Bob graduated from Westminster School, the University of Vermont, and the Sorbonne. He was an active master’s alpine ski racer until 2001 when an accident ended his passion. His wife Gail is with McKinsey & Co. in Boston, and as such they maintain a residence there. Bob, however, spends his time in Vermont where in addition to his work with Green Mountain College he is a trustee with Northshire Performing Arts and the Dorset Theatre Festival. Other not-for-profit boards Bob has served on include Fort Ticonderoga, St. Luke’s School, Norwalk Symphony, Innovation Network, and the Concord Review.
