Courses that incorporate service-learning work directly with community partners to help them fulfill a need in their organization. This provides students with a new learning experience outside of the classroom, in a real life situation that requires students to apply what they learn. After work with the community partner is finished, students reflect upon their experience usually through presentations, journals or papers.
