Building an alliance of colleges with a mission.
The Eco League connects Green Mountain with a consortium of six environmentally themed colleges that are at the forefront of today's dialogue about our natural and social worlds.
Stretching from Anchorage, Alaska, to Bar Harbor, Maine, the Eco League allows students to spend up to two nonconsecutive semesters of study at any of the five colleges, or in any of the international exchange programs offered by an Eco League college. Best of all, students can participate in Eco League without transferring schools; the program is set up to allow seamless exchange of students, with students continuing to pay tuition to their home college.
Besides Green Mountain, the Eco League consists of the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine, Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin, Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage, Alaska, and Prescott College in Prescott, Arizona. In 2014, Dickinson College in Carlisle, Penn., joined the Eco League. Each school features different academic strengths, and varied opportunities to study abroad in short-term or semester-long travel programs.
The Eco League exchange program began in the fall of 2004, when Green Mountain College welcomed students from Alaska Pacific University and Prescott College. Browse the sites of the six colleges linked above to find out about the programs available through Eco League.
