Green Mountain College Credit for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS)
Since 1965, the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) has been leading remote wilderness expeditions that teach technical outdoor skills, leadership, and environmental ethics. Courses range from ten days to a full academic year and are offered in locations all over the world. Areas of focus include mountaineering, skiing, rock climbing, sea kayaking and more.
NOLS began offering college credit through Green Mountain College in the fall of 1999. NOLS college credit is administered by the adventure education program. Additionally, NOLS semester courses offer three hours of natural science credit through the math and science programs. The following are courses where credit may be received on a pass/fail basis by attending NOLS.
Registration: To receive college credit, students are required to submit payment and the following forms at the same time as other admission forms for the course.
