Green Mountain College is proud to have recently been named greenest college in the nation by Sierra magazine. In the cover story of its September/October 2010 issue, the magazine lauds GMC as the MVP when it comes to creativity in sustainability. The story cites the College’s combined heat and power biomass plant and participation in Central Vermont Power Service’s Cow Power program as innovative methods that reduce the campus’ carbon footprint. GMC tops the list of 100 colleges and universities from across the nation.
