When reviewing applications, the Admissions team is looking for students who are ready to succeed, ready for new challenges, and who want to contribute to our community. The best advice for an applicant is: be yourself. Be honest and be open. What do you want to contribute to Green Mountain College? What are your talents in the classroom, in the laboratory, with the pen or paintbrush, or on the playing field? Make sure that your application tells us who you really are. Our decision will be based on your complete application.
The admissions process at Green Mountain College is designed to be user-friendly. Selecting a college is a major decision in your life -- remember that as you move along through the application, we are here to help every step of the way. Feel free to
contact your Admissions Counselor with any questions you may have.
We are a Test Optional School
If you feel that standardized testing is not reflective of your academic ability, you may choose not to submit SAT or ACT scores as part of the admissions process. If you choose not to submit SAT or ACT scores, you must complete an
Insight Portfolio. The Insight Portfolio consists of three short response essays (100 words) and a recent, graded writing sample. Read more about our test optional policy
here.
