One of the first questions often asked by students and parents when considering their college decision is, how will we pay for it? This is an important question to ask well in advance, because a college education is one of the major investments a family will make. We are here to help you with your investment in the high-quality education that Green Mountain College provides; our goal is to assist families in seeking the resources necessary to obtain that education.
The majority of our financial aid applicants are assisted by a nearly $10 million Green Mountain College Grant and Scholarship Budget. These funds are awarded in addition to and in combination with federal, state, and local grants, student loan programs and campus employment.
At latest recording, 97% of first-year students received financial assistance. The average institutional grant or scholarship for first-year students totaled $20,260. The average total financial aid package, including aid from all sources, totaled $28,440.
Here at Green Mountain, we recognize and support that all students and parents must research their potential college choices thoroughly, as a team.
