Alumni Sustainable Table Dinner

What better way to start your weekend than a family-style dinner with faculty and staff that truly represents the values of GMC. Our chef will source foods from sustainable producers, including ingredients harvested from the College farm, the site for this kick-off event.
Art and Music Gala
6:30pm - 8:30pm | Surdam and The Feick
Join students and faculty for a student art exhibition, featuring live bluegrass music by Prof. Sarah Mittlefehldt and John Gillette and a special performance by members of the GMC Choir. Then stroll over to The Feick Art Gallery to see contemporary American abstract oil paintings by Galen Cheney. Enjoy refreshments along the way.

Campus Tours: Renewable Energy and Cerridwen Farm
10:30am & 11:30am | Departing from Withey Lobby
Join our expert faculty and staff members for tours of these campus highlights. On the first tour, learn how GMC became the first college in the U.S. to reach carbon neutrality by means of increasing campus efficiencies and renewable energy. Next, visit Cerridwen Farm to learn how the Farm & Food Project adds to the health and well-being of the College community.
Annual Poultney Rotary Chili Cookoff
10:30am - 1:30pm | Downtown Poultney
Enjoy the vibrancy of downtown Poultney as you take in this spicy event. Buy a tasting mug and submit your vote for the best chili recipe concocted by faculty, staff, students and community members. Support this local service organization while taking a walk down memory lane and keep the autumn chill at bay with warmth from within.
Bean Burgers 101
1:00pm - 2:00pm | Cerridwen Farm Solar Harvest Center
Join alumnus Joseph Bossen '08 of VT Bean Crafters in the Solar Harvest Center's Community Commercial Kitchen to learn how to produce his company's staple, the veggie burger. In this hands-on demo "Basics of Homemade Veggie Burgers from Scratch," you'll receive step by step guidance on how to create these delicious and nutritious patties at home.
Historic Tour of Poultney
2:00pm - 3:00pm | Bentley Hall
Rediscover the historic connection between the College, founded in 1834, and the town of Poultney. Start at the newly restored Bentley Hall Community Center with an audio-visual tour narrated by Vermont's master storyteller Willem Lange and produced by the Poultney Historical Society. Then take to the streets by foot, bike or car and see the historic architecture on your own.
NAC Division III Men's and Women's Soccer Games
1:00pm and 3:00pm start times | GMC Soccer fields (behind Withey Hall)
Cheer the Green Mountain College soccer teams on to victory as they each take on North Atlantic Conference opponent University of Maine - Farmington. Fill the bleachers and join the campus community spectators for scissor-kicks, headers and goals.
Class of 1964 50th Reunion Celebration
4:00pm - 5:30pm | President's Residence (corner of Main & College Streets)
Members of the Class of 1964 gather at the President's Residence for a private ceremony welcoming them to The Golden Circle Society, which recognizes all alumni who graduated more than 50 years ago. After their induction, members of the class can be recognized wearing their society medallions.
5th, 10th and 25th Reunion Gatherings
5:00pm - 7:00pm | Alumni Tent
If you are a member of the Class of 2009, 2004 or 1989, head to the Alumni Tent for drinks and appetizers before the Alumni Banquet & Awards Ceremony. The Alumni Tent is available throughout the weekend for casual gatherings, but this event is just for you to reconnect and celebrate your milestone Reunions.
Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
5:30pm - 7:00pm | The Gorge (Withey Hall)
Join the current GMC sports teams and coaches as they welcome individuals and teams of distinguished alumni into the Green Mountain College Athletic Hall of Fame. Honored this year are Alan Madden '98, Peter Lundvall '02, Erica Knolhoff '03 and the 2000-2001 Women's Soccer Team.
Alumni Banquet and Awards Ceremony
7:00pm - 9:00pm | East Room (Withey Hall)
Gather with fellow alumni of GMC Saturday evening for an autumn harvest dinner and awards ceremony, the highlight of your weekend. Feast on a great assortment of locally grown foods while acknowledging the accomplishments of your peers. Awards will recognize distinguished alumni Paulette Gangemi '96, young alumni Joseph Bossen '08 and Dr. William Throop for distinguished service. The Class of 1964 will be honored and recognized for their 50th Reunion Gift to the College.
Student Collaborative Music Project
8:30pm - 10:30pm | The Gorge (Withey Hall)
Don't miss these student musical performances that highlight the uniqueness of being part of the GMC community. Student musicians, paired at random with others to form bands, have practiced together for one week to perform. Sit back and appreciate the results of this Collaborative Music Project.

Safe Journey Continental Breakfast

Rise and shine to join your classmates for a light breakfast before you begin your travels back home. Take the opportunity to exchange contact information to foster the rekindled and new relationships you made over the weekend.
Cerridwen Farm Stand
10:30am - 12:30pm | Withey Hall Lobby
Don't leave empty handed. Be sure to stop by the farm stand where students from our farm crew will have fresh, organic crops produced on GMC's Cerridwen Farm for sale. Take home some wholesome food while supporting our Farm and Food Project.
NAC Division III Men's and Women's Soccer Games
12:00pm and 2:30pm start times | GMC Soccer fields (behind Withey Hall)
Support the GMC soccer teams for the back end of their doubleheader weekend as they each battle North Atlantic Conference rival Thomas College.
Friday: 1:00pm - 6:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am - 8:00pm
Registration check-in will be held in the Withey Hall lobby. Stop by at these times to check in and receive your registration packet and gifts.
Throughout the Weekend
Stop by the Richardson Alumni House to grab a complimentary soft drink, bottled water or cup of Champlain Orchards Vermont apple cider. While there, take in the ambiance of your designated space on campus and look through yearbooks, In Loco Parentis and This Green Place (the College history books) and other photographs and publications from Green Mountain's 180 year history. The Alumni Tent is also available for relaxation and refreshments.
