Poultney High School – local high school outdoor club takes advantage of basic repair clinic and rides and Pine Hill.
Vermont Mountain Bike Association – Events, advocacy and access involvement. The GMC bike shop will become a VMBA chapter in the fall of 2011.
Shop History
The shop was born out of a Delicate Balance project in 2009 by Aaron Strock and Robinson Smith. In reaction to many students, staff and faculty having bikes on campus and needing repair, Aaron and Robinson established the shop. The shop is located in the basement of Dunton and is open to everyone on campus and the local community. In the fall of 2010, Jon Debay took over management of the shop and formalized operations such as manager training, bike technician programs, inventories, secured funding and updated the tools. In the fall of 2011 Anthony Sallows & Nick Rushford initiated formal programming including clinics, rides and expanded the bike technician program.
