Students finish up their projects and present at UNIMEP. After all of their hard work is rewarded in a completion ceremony in which everyone receives ECO-PROGRAM certificates. After U.S. and Brazilian students celebrate their accomplishments, sad farewells are in order. The U.S. students head of Piracicaba to travel south, stopping on the way at a dolce de leite factory and a quilombo. Reaching their destination, the group arrives at PETAR, an ecotouristic recreational park where they enjoy caving, tubing down river, and the beautiful surroundings. After only a couple of days at the park, the group sets off again to visit a site where The Nature Conservancy has worked to restore the largest remaining tract of Atlantic Rainforest left in Brazil.
