Farryl will present research related to local food systems and food security, with a specific focus on accessibility of regional foods by food insecure households. Her presentation will include: technology solutions to improve financial viability and accessibility of farmers' markets, discussion of evaluation tools for farmers' markets environments, and preliminary results from focus group research regarding the perception and experience of consumers' use of food assistance program benefits for purchase of fruits and vegetables.
