Brief description of job duties, responsibilities, & activities:
Assist with support of computer technology classrooms located in Griswold Library and throughout the GMC campus to include on-site user training and maintenance of equipment.
Assist with audio-visual equipment and media services to include equipment check-out, delivery, and maintenance.
Management and support of computer labs located throughout Griswold Library and the GMC campus. Workers also monitor the physical environment in the computer labs that may include opening and closing the labs and maintaining computers and printers.
The help desk worker responds to telephone calls/help desk phone messages, e-mail questions, and walk-in inquiries from students, staff, and faculty who are experiencing software and hardware problems.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Reliable workers needed who are detail oriented and who can maintain a weekly schedule for the duration of the semester that may include days, evenings and weekends. A strong computer background with both programs and technical equipment is desired.
The ability, or a strong desire to learn how to record college events using a digital camcorder, as well as to transfer these tapes to a DVD for future use.
Must be dedicated to providing prompt and courteous service to the college community.
Provide full support for using a MS suite of programs, as well as other applications.
