Diversity exists in numerous ways at Green Mountain College. People differ from one another based on factors such as ability, age, class, country of origin, interest, gender, political perspective, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, etc. Learning from these differences, celebrating them, and working to build support for everyone in the community can greatly improve the experience at GMC.
The Diversity Committee, made up of students, staff and faculty, is working to make Green Mountain College a more inclusive and supportive place for everyone in the community. Alongside several offices, student clubs, campus committees, groups and individuals, we are striving to build a more culturally competent campus community. We meet every other Tuesday in Terrace 124, and the meetings are open for all to attend.
