Farm & Food 101

Integrating academics with the college farm.

• Dozens of classes utilize the Cerridwen Farm and other local farms as part of their coursework (like these).
  
• The Environmental Studies program offers a concentration in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Production.
  
• Most recently, four professors teamed up to offer a block course entitled "Food, Agriculture, & Community Development in the Northeast".

These are a few examples of how the Farm & Food Project is integrated into the academic programs. Students also have the opportunity to take part in nearly every stage of the production process working on the farm crew, from plotting and rotating crops, to harvesting, to vending the goods to community members through the farm's various distribution methods.
