The GMC Farm Crew

The Cerridwen Farm crew is a self-governing group consisting largely of volunteer students who assist in chores and other farm work. Members of the farm crew fit into three categories:

• Student volunteers: Most students on the farm crew are there purely because they enjoy contributing to the farm and learning about the agricultural practices put in use there. Students are always welcome to volunteer on the farm.
  
• Campus Compact AmeriCorps Education Award volunteers: Students who contribute hours regularly on the farm sometimes elect to commit 300, 450, or 900 hours of service to the farm, earning an Education Award from AmeriCorps at the end of their service.
  
• Work-study: Students who show intensive interest in the farm sometimes become one of a handful of work-study students who receive pay for seven hours per week of work. Students can also work during the summer for pay.
