Ame Lambert is the chief diversity officer at Champlain College. In her role, she works with all campus stakeholders to create the infrastructure required to drive diversity and inclusion at the college. For Lambert, diversity and inclusion are fundamentally about thriving, the creation of cognitive complexity and the maximizing of potential. Lambert is a student of individual and organizational learning, development and change, and sees these areas as fundamental paths to an inclusive and equitable organization. She is equally interested in the personal, cultural and societal aspects of diversity and views campus conversations as incomplete without all three perspectives present. As a Nigerian with a bi-cultural identity, she holds a master’s degree in humans resources and is a PhD candidate in human resource development with a focus on organization development and change.
