Rockey R. Robbins, associate professor at the University of Oklahoma, will be the keynote speaker for the College’s 2016 Convocation on Tuesday, September 6 at 4 p.m. in the Labyrinth. The entire College community is encouraged to attend this annual event that welcomes a new entering class and celebrates the beginning of a new academic year.
Robbins’ address is titled “Education for the Well-Being for the Land and the People.”
Robbins teaches multicultural counseling, behavior disorders and personality assessment at the university. His research interests include native spirituality and psychology; grand-parenting; assessment; group interventions; and developing American Indian treatment models and techniques based on traditional ideas and practices. He has conducted hundreds of workshops and speaking engagements across the U.S. and Europe.
