This workshop will explore how Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, jr.’s faith laid the foundation for his approach to civil rights. We will use video clips from the PBS series, “God in America” as well as excerpts of some of his speeches as a way of entering into discussion about the historic role of religion in the civil rights movement.
