Everyone is invited to attend a performance of “The Deep Blue Sea” by Terrance Rattigan on Thursday and Friday 10/22-23 on the Ackley stage. The production has been directed by senior Hannah Davis for her Progressive Capstone project. “The Deep Blue Sea” is a 1950s British drama following Hester Collyer and Freddie Page, an unmarried couple who are living together in London following WWII. Page is an ex-RAF pilot and Hester is still married to her first husband, a wealthy judge. After her attempt to take her own life at the beginning of the play, we see the breakdown of the two major relationships in her life and her will to continue on after perhaps the only man she’ll ever love walks out on her.
