Seniors Aim for 100% Campaign ParticipationAs the College’s Annual Fund Director, Jennifer Schriber receives a lot of donations – ranging from the modest to seven figures. However, a gift she received last week may be one of the most memorable so far this year. It was a crisp, new hundred-dollar bill, presented to her by GMC senior Ashley Converse, who is hoping to lead her classmates into 100 percent participation in the New Century Campaign by graduation. Converse is teaming up with fellow senior Nicole DeLong in an unprecedented effort to get every member of the graduating class to give to the campaign. “It’s all about participation and showing our appreciation and commitment to the College,” says DeLong. “The individual gifts can be small – it’s the act of giving that really counts.” The pair have launched a full court press for the next month to build participation, including door-to-door canvassing, a table in Withey Lobby, and even a few ambushes at the Pub. Senior class gifts have been a tradition at the College for many years, but full participation by the class would be a first. For more information on how to make a gift to the campaign, contact Ashley Converse, Senior Class Giving Volunteer Chair, Nicole DeLong, Senior Class Giving Project Manager, or Jennifer Schriber at 802-287-8300.
