Sophmore Symposium Green Mountain College will present a two-day event this week focused on the unique challenges faced by sophomores during this important phase of their college careers. The sophomore symposium, held on Tuesday and Wednesday, will be an informal opportunity for sophomores to mingle with classmates and more closely connect with various staff and faculty members. The schedule includes a keynote speaker, several interactive group discussions, a barbecue, and ice cream social. Tuesday, October 24 5 - 6 p.m. : Sophomore-only BBQ in The Gorge 6 - 6:30 p.m. : Keynote Speaker 6:30 - 7 p.m. : Ice Cream Sundae Bar in The Gorge Wednesday, October 25 4:30 - 6 p.m. : Group Forums in The Gorge 6 - 6:30 p.m. : Dinner in the Dining Hall 6:30 - 7 p.m. : Group Forums, Part 2 7 - 7:30 p.m. : Wrap-Up & Raffle There will be a raffle for those who attend this two-day symposium! Again, the raffle is only for those sophomores who participate. Prizes include free massage gift certificate, gifts from local businesses, certificates from the bookstore, and more. The grand prize will be a $150 gift certificate to the Diamond Run Mall in Rutland.
