Wilderness Challenge '13

August 25-30

REGISTRATION OPENS MAY 15 & CLOSES AUGUST 1ST!

Every year, GreenMAP offers a pre-orientation trip program for incoming freshmen and transfer students.

With programs like backpacking, rock climbing, canoeing, and sea kayaking there is a trip for everyone! Our trips are led by trained student and staff leaders from the Green Mountain Adventure Program (GreenMAP). No experience is necessary for any of the trips.

Wilderness Challenge is an excellent way to meet new friends and learn more about the Green Mountain Community. Our trips take place in the mountains and waters that surround the college and make New England famous.

New this year is the Farm and Field option! Spend your days eating the fruits and vegetables of your labors by working on Green Mountain College’s Cerridwen Farm. Students will experience life working on the farm, complete a day of trail work in the nearby Green Mountains, visit a local homestead, and day hike in the beautiful Taconic Mountains.
