GMC is the place to be and to be yourself and learn with one and other, keep your mind your eyes open to the great opportunities.

What are you looking forward to this year?: This year I'm looking forward to many exciting things. I will be continuing as co-president of the A.R.C. specialty floor, which is a wonderful tight-knit living community, joining the Learning Center Tutoring team, and continuing to build up the new A Cappella and the Environment Club among other things. I've learned during my two years here that this school, though small, has a heart of gold made up of strikingly interesting characters always willing to help and challenge you. I want to help out new incoming students to make their transition to this different environment a little bit less of a bumpy road and more of an adventure.
Something incoming students should know: I was introduced to Green Mountain College through a close childhood friend and decided to apply because of the Adventure Education program and because of the genuine warm welcoming feeling that the students, staff, and faculty have.

Favorite thing about GMC: Unique, close-fitting community with sound environmental programs for academic excellence. Back in Nigeria, I will never forget the first day I received a package from Green Mountain College. Inside the package was a bowl with a card that said say’s “Great things come in small packages.” This was the sign that made me see Green Mountain College as a unique college on a mission to empower future leaders desiring to make change in their community.
What are you looking forward to this year?: More student involvement in community building through community service and the enhancement of the Poultney 2020 vision.
Something incoming students should know: Where else should I call home? Where else resides the love that overwhelms? Where else would I have fulfilled the dream of seeing the four walls of education? Green Mountain College made that dream to become a reality. I made it to the United States through the help of God and Green Mountain College. I have been loved, cared for, and had a nice time since the first day I stepped foot on this great campus. Even though it has been rough at times, I still stand tall through hard work, persistence, perseverance, and determination. My ability to open up with people made things easier for me. My professors were willing to help me succeed at every point. I get stocked by questions that are difficult to answer. The students are unique in their own way. Indeed Green Mountain College is my home. As incoming students, open your mind to learn. Be ready to meet exciting people from different racial, national, and religious backgrounds all of whom have the goal of success in academics, socialization and life. I urge you to make Green Mountain College your home and make use of every resource available to you.
