Parent Information

Welcome to the Parent Information section of the Green Mountain College website. Here you'll find answers to many of your questions and also learn about ways you can become involved in life at GMC.

GMC Family Leadership Council
The purpose of the Green Mountain College Family Leadership Council is to:

• work closely with Green Mountain College's leadership to promote and develop the College's programs.
• identify parents to serve on the Family Leadership Council.
• participate in the College's Parents' Fund and encourage other families to support the fund. 
• provide feedback to the college on long-range planning, activities, policies and initiatives.
  

The Family and Friends Weekend and Parent Orientation are planned by the Family Leadership Council. Members assist in planning the Family Association meeting; they also help to communicate with parents about the College. They provide a sounding board for proposed ideas for programs and policies affecting students. Their fiscal support provides a visible sign of their belief in the Green Mountain College mission, and helps to ensure future generations have access to a GMC liberal arts education.
