Mission Statement
The Mission of the Creative Arts Living Floor (CALF) is to embrace the artistic endeavors of all of its members, to allow its residents an environment to work, live, and grow autonomously from outside traffic and its restrictions. Residents should have open minds and the motivation to see their goals through with the support of their neighbors. We are a community within a community and should not alienate ourselves from the rest of campus but rather encourage our fellow classmates towards artistic growth, doing so through campus wide activates held on the floor by current floor members. Members should be able to set the example that as young adults we have the capacity and the understanding to manage our own lives without the interference and direction of the powers that be. As a floor community we have elected to be off the meal plan, and cook for ourselves during the day and a dinner once a week for the whole floor, which rotates through groups each night. The Creative Arts and Living Floor is a wonderful community of students whom live together, work together, and play together in a supportive and creative atmosphere.

CALF Facts
Once becoming a CALF member, students will no longer be on the meal plan and will be responsible for preparing meals for themselves during the day, and a dinner once a week with a group.

Members are responsible for cleaning up after their cooking night, as well as cleaning up after using dishes and the kitchen facilities. The CALF hub area is our community area that everyone is responsible for keeping clean and welcoming for all community members to use.

CALF is a co-ed floor

The CALF floor members should be willing and able to come to dinners. Dinners are usually held Monday-Thursday, and Sunday night. These Dinners allow for our community to come together and catch up with one another.
