Computer Facilities and Mediated Classrooms
Computing & Technology Services provides numerous resources for a student's computing needs. On the library's first floor is a group of networked computers intended primarily for research. The second floor houses the PC Lab and the Graphics Lab; when not in classroom use, both computer labs are available to students for word processing, research, email, and all the other services available on the network. These labs are equipped with special software programs, such as GIS, SPSS, DreamWeaver, and Adobe Suite. A Mac Lab is located on the ground floor of the library.
The Jose Calhoun Learning Center, located on the third floor of Griswold Library, is
equipped with computer work-space that, while intended primarily for instructional use in the Learning Center, is also open to all students for their use. The Dickgiesser Electronic Classroom along with two other electronic classrooms are located on the ground floor of the library. A small computer lab, open 24/7 is located in the Library's lobby. A computer lab is located in The Gorge in Withey Hall. In addition, computers are available for student use in Withey Hall lobby and in The Buttery.
Wireless connectivity is available in both Griswold Library and Withey Hall.
