Annual Welsh Harvest Festival Slated for Oct. 18
POULTNEY, VT - The annual Welsh Harvest Festival – featuring live music, traditional Welsh food, field games and more – will be held on Saturday, October 18, at Green Mountain College.
The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. at Cerridwen Farm. Rain location for the festival is the gym in the Waldron Athletic Complex.
Visitors can tour a haunted barn, take a hay ride, or participate in traditional fall activities including cider making and scarecrow making. Musical performances include faculty and student ensembles performing acoustic Welsh, Celtic and American Folk songs. There will also be a community sing-a-long led by the GMC Choir that will include Welsh folk songs. A bonfire brings the evening to a blazing close.
The Welsh Harvest Festival celebrates the distinctive Welsh culture of Poultney and its surrounding communities. The event is free and open to the public.
