GMC Choir presents ‘Mostly Madrigals’

POULTNEY, VT – Cantorion, the Green Mountain College chamber vocal ensemble, presents a program titled “Mostly Madrigals” on Sunday, November 11, at 3:30 p.m. in the East Room of Withey Hall.

In addition to madrigals, the ensemble will sing from their Welsh repertoire. Due to the popularity of the recent CD release of John Dowland lute songs by the rock singer Sting, the Cantorion also plans to perform music by Dowland and his contemporaries. Additional selections will include music for classical guitar and harpsichord.

The GMC choir – a group that has toured Wales several times -- is the only collegiate choir in the United States with a repertoire of Welsh language music.
