Students in REED classes have 24/7 access to a dedicated design studio. The REED Studio is located in the heart of downtown Poultney within the historic Journal Press building. The studio offers dedicated drafting stations, wireless internet, computer workstations, a conference table designed and fabricated by students, and a coffee bar.
The drafting stations were designed by faculty member Lucas Brown and student Sarah Gastler, and fabricated using a computer numerically controlled router. The flat-pack design utilizes a single sheet of plywood to make both the table and stool, and it's assembled without adhesive or fasteners.
Special thanks to Joe Miles at rk Miles for helping us with the materials, and to Dan Mosheim and Trevor Mott at Dorset Custom Furniture for fabricating the parts.
