Below is a list of the local organizations that serve as resources for students and faculty interested in service or service learning. The list includes information about each group's cause and what their volunteer needs are.

Focus: Oriented towards inspiring and enabling young people to realize their full potential. Provides a safe place to learn and grow, mentoring, and other life-enhancing programs.
Needs: We need additional volunteers to work with our staff to help young people learn and grow in a safe place. There are many special projects, programs and opportunities available. We offer a number of internships for interested College students. (Background check is need for individuals who want to volunteer 25 hours or more)

Focus: Financial support of cystic fibrosis research. Will aid groups and individuals in organizing and implementing local fundraisers and awareness campaigns.
Needs: We help give support to fundraising for CFR. .92 of $1.00 goes to the research and the other .08 goes to buy supportive materials needed.

Needs: We need cooks for the evening meals Monday-Friday. Also volunteers to help with specific projects like: Spring house cleaning, Barn renovation-carpentry work, Painting, Yard work and more..We also offer a Resident-Intern position for a Junior or Senior student for 1 semester or 1 year long commitments.

Focus: Preserve and communicate the history of the Poultney area.
Needs: Service Learning Projects/ internships to help develop a strategic plan for a non-profit. Help to create a brochure, expand on previous work for a walking tour, expand on previous work on driving tour-using GPS. Docent position, and expansion to include training other students to be docents of the museum. Volunteers can learn about museum conservation and exhibits, also help plan special events. Museum is open in the Summer - Memorial day-Labor day.
