The campus chapter of the Slow Food Club has a lot of exciting activities planned for this semester, including workshops, panels, speakers, field trips. The club invites any students in the campus community to join us for tasty snacks and idea-sharing, and to chat more about the club, at a special planning meeting on Thursday, January 28 in the East Room.
Our usual meet-ups are on Sundays at 4 p.m. in the Community Kitchen in the Farmhouse, so join us then if you cannot make the special open meeting in Withey this week. Contact email@example.com to be added to the SFC email list.
Some potential happenings for this Spring 2016 semester:
· A field trip to Sterling College to see how the students run their amazing dining facility and farm, share a meal and create connections with Sterling students;
· Farmworker Awareness Week, with a screening of the film “Food Chains”;
· Speakers and workshops on hard cider, beer and cheese making/tasting/pairing;
· Panel with the Coalition of Students of Color on food justice.
