Green Mountain College holds it annual commencement ceremony for undergraduate and graduate students on the Griswold Library Lawn. Past commencement speakers have included Vermont Governors Peter Shumlin and James Douglas; Vermont Rep. Peter Welch; U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy; actor Sam Watterson; and NPR “Car Talk” host Ray Magliozzi. The 2017 commencement ceremony will be held outside on the lawn in front of Griswold Library on Saturday, May 13, at 10 a.m. Live streaming video of the ceremony will be available online and projected at an alternate physical location at Green Mountain College.
Following the ceremony there is a Commencement Brunch which is a held in the dining room. Each student who would like to attend with guests is given three complimentary tickets. Students are allowed a total of four guests in addition to themselves. There is a charge for the two additional.

Tickets and Reservations
Tickets are not required for attending the commencement ceremony. If weather requires the ceremony to take place indoors in the Waldron Athletics Center, we ask that no more than two people per student attend the ceremony so all students to have opportunity for some family or friends to participate.
