It’s Your Life, We’re Just Here to Help
Here at GMC, we provide a supportive, safe and respectful living environment that promotes personal growth and allows for academic success. We offer every opportunity for students to be active global citizens by providing living arrangements that focus on sustainability, personal responsibility and appreciation for diversity and the concept of social justice. Through proactive, collaborative and dynamic efforts we support the sustainable mission of the college and advocate on behalf of students to promote positive change.
Where to Live
There are a variety of options for on-campus housing. Passionate about sustainability? Compelled toward constant adventure recreation? A need for study and a quiet place to concentrate? Substance free and driven? Activist to the core? Yeah, we’ve got a place for you.
Dining in Style
At GMC, food unites us; at the farm, in the dorms, and in the eateries throughout campus. We have the Coffee House (Facebook Link) for snacks and entertainment, the Buttery for off-hours meals, and of course the Withey Dining Hall for our more frequent meals. We’re proud to be home to one of the most innovative dining halls in the country in regards to local foods purchasing and sourcing products directly from our own Cerridwen Farm, and 31.7% of all food purchased for the dining hall is local and community-based and/or third-party verified to be ecologically sound, fair, and/or humane. Students can also venture off campus to the eateries in Downtown Poultney, or catch the daily bus to Rutland for more options.
