Welcome to Green Mountain College! We are thrilled that you are considering joining us for a semester through the Eco League student exchange. The information on these web pages should give you a good sense of what Green Mountain is about and how your semester here will work through the Eco League. Green Mountain is a very old college (founded in 1834) with a very fresh mission, fusing radical environmental thought with a traditional liberal arts and pre-professional curriculum. We have approximately 800 students at our Poultney, Vermont campus. We are located in the beautiful lakes region of southern central Vermont with easy access to the Adirondacks in New York and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Our organic farm supplies food to the campus dining hall and supports a community supported agriculture program. We have a renowned choir that performs in English and Welsh. We have NCAA intercollegiate sports and more than 30 student clubs. We look forward to meeting you!
