The Make A Difference Scholarship
Green Mountain College is conducting an ongoing national search to find students who have somehow made a significant contribution to a fellow human, to society or toward conservation and sustainability. We want to encourage the leaders of tomorrow and reward this contribution with a full scholarship to Green Mountain -- a college that will foster their ideals and their desire to engage in and promote leadership practiced not for self-aggrandizement but for the greater good.
Why do we care?
GMC is a small environmental liberal arts college that has been creating leaders for 176 years. Through a variety of programs, the College emphasizes commitment to community, to the environment, and to service learning and volunteerism. We are looking for the next generation of leaders who have shown the dedication, determination and sacrifice to change the lives of those around them, save or improve lives, and/or make a significant contribution to conservation and sustainability. Our goal is to attract these students and help prepare them for caring, fulfilling, and productive lives in our rapidly changing world. The Make A Difference (MAD) Scholarship helps these inspirational people realize the dream of a college education at no cost.
