A recent Article in Time Magazine reported the wave of student demonstrations protesting gun violence. According to the article, demonstrations reached from Arizona to Maine, with students at dozens of U.S. high schools walking out of class Wednesday, February 21st to protest gun violence and honor the victims of the deadly shooting at Parkland.
Many of these students marched with the knowledge they would be suspended from their high school. At Green Mountain College, we support the right of all students to protest their conscience, even if they get suspended. Students applying for admission to our College will not be affected by any suspensions related to their protest activities.
