Hometown: Wilmette, Illinois, a small town located about 16 miles north of downtown Chicago.
Favorite course to teach: Business Strategy and Sustainability Capstone.
Interests/hobbies: Running, movies, and traveling to places that take me away from my comfort zone.
Toughest class I took in college: Art history and advanced statistics, but for different reasons.
Something surprising about me: I did not have a car nor drive on a regular basis until I moved to Vermont.
What "the environment" means to me: I see it as “place-based”—where you live, work, like to ride your bike, etc.
Research interests: Sustainable business issues in emerging and developing economies.
Best concert I've seen: U2 in a small Chicago concert venue in the mid 1980s.
Recommended movie: Lars and the Real Girl.
Book I recently enjoyed: In Spite of the Gods: The Strange Rise of Modern India.
Best place I've traveled to: For now, the Seychelles Islands, but I hope I have not been there yet.
Favorite research project with students: Service learning projects involving food/agriculture, business, and sustainable community development-related issues.
